Veterinarians

Our veterinarians chose their profession out of genuine care for animals and a dedication to excellent veterinary medicine. Learn their stories and get to know them better!

Dr. Arlene Rodriguez
Arlene Rodriguez, DVM, CCRT is a Certified Canine Rehabilitation Therapist with approximately 25 years of veterinarian experience in general practice. She was born and raised in Illinois and when not doing rehabilitation and working at her general practice she spends time with her husband, two children and her two dogs Cookie and Shamrock. Her interests include tennis, golf and reading.

Mary Roberg, DVM grew up in Southern Illinois near St. Louis. She has special interests in surgery, dentistry and exotic animal practice. In her free time, she loves to play tennis, and soccer with her husband as well as spend time with her family, friends and wonderful pets: two rescue cats Albus and Minerva, Poppy a Corgi mix, and a five foot ball python named Severus.

Megan Garvey, DVM is a native of the Chicago suburbs and attended veterinary school at the University of Illinois. She recently joined our team after a one year stint working in Aspen, Colorado. When she isn’t working, she enjoys spending time hiking and being outside with her dog Lilly.

Ainsley Boyle, DVM grew up in the Chicago suburbs and attended veterinary school at the University of Illinois. She has always had a love for animals and knew she wanted to become a veterinarian to help people help their pets. She has two playful and spoiled cats, Aida and Gouda. Outside of work, she enjoys reading, being outdoors, rooting on her favorite sports teams, and spending time with family and friends.

Dr. Pare, DVM, DACVS, is a specialist in small animal surgery certified by the American College of Veterinary Surgeons (ACVS). He is a traveling surgeon, and performs specialized orthopedic, abdominal, thoracic, neurological and other soft tissue procedures at your family veterinarian's hospital, where we work together as a team to give your pet gold standard care. Dr. Spector, DVM, DACVIM, is a specialist in small animal internal medicine certified by the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine (ACVIM). Dr. Spector has many areas of special interest including diabetes and other endocrine disorders as well as gastrointestinal disease, heart disease and disorders of the immune system. She is a traveling internist and performs consultations and specialized procedures such as ultrasound, endoscopy, rhinoscopy and many other diagnostic procedures at your veterinarian's hospital, where we work together as a team to give your pet gold standard care.

Celestino
Wellness Plan Manager/Front Office Manager


Celestino joined the Hanover Park Animal Care Center team in 2016. He started as an administrative assistant and grew into his role as Office Manager. Celestino loves working with our clients and interacting with all of the different pets that we see. He shares his home with his wife, daughter, and newborn son, as well as their dogs Dexter, a Daschund -Spaniel mix and Quinn, a Pitbull Terrier.  Celestino enjoys spending time with his family, reading, and gaming when not performing handyman tasks around his house (or the hospital).

​Chris has been with our client services team since 2012. She currently has a fish, but has been the proud owner of two Labrador Retrievers, Dutchess and Ginger, and a Rottweiler named Gail. Her favorite part about working for Hanover Park Animal Care Center is that she gets to work at a facility that helps sick and injured animals. Chris loves to garden when she isn’t working.

Veterinary Technicians

Ali 
Technician Manager, Certified Veterinary Technician
​

​Ali has been with Hanover Park Animal Care Center since 2012. She has three dogs: Chewy, Jane, and Penny.
Chewy looks like an Ewok! Ali loves getting to know the animals at work and knowing that she has made a difference! When Ali isn’t working, she enjoys going to the archery range and gardening.

Anna is a Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT) and Canine Rehabilitative Therapist (CCRT). ​Anna has been with Hanover Park Animal Care Center since 2000. She also works with Integrative Veterinary Rehabilitation and Sports Medicine (IVRSM) and loves it. In her spare time, she enjoys attending many concerts and sporting events for her two daughters.

Jessica is a Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT) and has been a part of our team since 2013. She has a 3 and 1/2 year old German Shepherd mix named Ned and a 4 and 1/2 year old Husky Jacapo. Jessica loves working with great people and meeting amazing clients with their pets.

​Jessica is a Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT) and has been working for HPACC since 2013. She has a 6 year old chocolate Lab mix named Autumn and a 6 year old black Lab named Belle, and most recently a 1 year old French Bulldog names Watson. Jessica enjoys her job because it is rewarding.

Kat is a Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT) and joined our team in February 2016 and she loves all creatures big and small. Kat has 2 Huskies, Kody and Max.

Nicole is a Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT), and she joined our team in February 2014. She has a cat named Lucy, who is a little loud mouth and loves to run around in the middle of the night. She also has a hedgehog named Gus, who is her little grouch! She also has an adorable yellow Lab named Emmett! Recently, Nicole had to say goodbye to her chocolate Lab Hurley, who she will dearly miss. Nicole loves working in an animal environment and she enjoys all of the animals that come with it! She recently graduated Fox College's Veterinary Technician program.

Katie is a Veterinary Technician and she joined the HPACC staff in October 2014. She has 4 crazy cats named Midnight, AJ, Charlie and Zoey and a Doberman mix Sawyer. When it comes to her job, Katie enjoys working with the great staff and getting to meet all different breeds of dogs and cats. When she isn’t at work, Katie likes to go bowling and hanging out with her friends and family.

Shannon has been with our team since 2014. She started with us and our Client Services folks, and is now a Veterinary Technician. She was raised with all sorts of animals and currently has 2 rescue dogs Hobbes and Lumen, and a rescue cat Spaz. Shannon strives to learn as much as she can at work and is currently studying to become a certified vet assistant and physical rehab assistant. When not at work, she enjoys spending time with family and friends.

Jeremy joined our team as a Kennel Assistant and is now a Veterinary Technician Assistant. He is very passionate about animals! His favorite animals are dogs. He has a purebred Chocolate Lab named Hershey and a Maltese Poodle Cairn Terrier mix named Maya. He wants to be a Veterinarian in his future so he can help all the animals everywhere! In his off time he enjoys relaxing at home with his dogs, going out with friends, concerts, and traveling when he can!

Melissa, Kennel Technician/Technician Assistant Melissa has been part of our team since February 2012. She has a lab mix named Honey, two cats named Lydia and Bubba, and two guinea pigs named Tangy and Ripley. Both of her guinea pigs are rescues. Melissa loves talking to clients and seeing all the different breeds of pets with different personalities! Outside of work, Melissa enjoys reading, motherhood and hanging out with her daughter. She also has a love for anything that is Halloween themed.

Maricruz, Kennel Technician Maricruz started working with us in June 2013. She has a German shepherd named Rambo who is almost four years old. Rambo loves to run around outside in the snow and bury his face in it. She loves how loving and caring Rambo is towards her young niece. Maricruz loves her job as a kennel assistant because she loves being around animals and all the staff members while learning and experiencing new things. In her free time, Maricruz loves spending time with her husband and family as well as taking care of her son. She also loves to read.

Caitlin, Kennel Technician Caitlin has grown up with dogs as pets and feels she has an understanding of animals that is innate in her. When it comes to domestic animals, Caitlin would choose a dog as her favorite. As far as wild animals go, giraffe's would be her favorite. Caitlin likes their rough tongues and their cool long necks. Caitlin does not currently have any pets but she used to have a dog that was a pit bull/ lab mix named Riley. Caitlin's interests are listening to music (Kelly Clarkson being a favorite), rock climbing, and spending time with her family. Caitlin has always had a love for animals and feels that it is her passion in life. She wants to go back to school to become a vet tech so she can work with animals as a career.

Amanda. Kennel Technician ​Pictured is Amanda's 7 year old Corgi/Shepard mix Lee Roy who was adopted in 2016. She also have a black cat named Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and a Guinea Pig named Leonardo DiCaprio. Amanda majored in English at the University of Illinois-Chicago but has always loved working with animals & has future plans to go back to school to become a veterinary technician. In her free time she enjoys spending time with friends, reading, and finding new records for her vinyl collection.

Grooming Manager

Nicole has been working at Hanover Park Animal Care Center since 2008. Nicole professionally grooms all breeds of dogs and cats. She has a Bulldog named Tyson, who is such a ladies man! She also has a Newfoundland named Lily, who has the sweetest face and the sweetest personality! She also has a Maltese mix named Piper! Nicole loves to please her clients by making their pets look beautiful. Outside of work, Nicole enjoys musicals because she loves to sing along! Her favorite musical is Calamity Jane.

Marianna, Groomer Mariana has 3 dogs. A Toy Poodle named Sweet Pea, a Japanese Chin named Elvis and a Boston Terrier named Sinatra. She likes traveling and enjoys going to concerts and is obsessed with anything Disney related. Mariana has always wanted to work with animals since she was little. Working here as a Grooming Assistant makes her happy because she loves seeing clients faces when they see their pet all nice and clean.
